Who is Amr Rabie? / ¿Quién es Amr Rabie?

Amr Rabie is a member of Ahrar movement and a student at the faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. In addition to his active political participation in the last few years he’s also actively involved in a lot of charity and community work across Egypt.
He also participated and lead so many initiatives for solidarity and relief efforts to Gaza, Palestine and Syria.

Yesterday Amr was kidnapped by the coup security forces after being chased for the last 9 months and his whereabouts are unknown. His father has filed a report against the state security accusing them of kidnapping his son.

Amr alongside with members of Ahrar movement has been a target to the military and the state security since the revolution started in 2011, he was in jail in April 2013 for his activism.

Amr’s life is at danger and there isn’t much on his case in English.

#AmrRabie es miembro del movimiento de #Ahrar y estudiante en la Facultad de Ingeniería, en la Universidad de El Cairo. Además su activa participación política en los últimos años lo ha hecho estar activo en una gran cantidad de trabajo caritativo y comunitario a través de #Egipto.

Ayer – 15/03/2014** – fue secuestrado por las fuerzas de seguridad golpistas después de haber sido perseguido los últimos 9 meses y se desconoce su paradero. Su padre ha llenado un reporte en contra de la Seguridad del Estado acusándolos de secuestrar a su hijo.
